  1. January 19, 2010-- "I just got my three prong last week and it was a beautiful surprise! I got the chance to take it out yesterday (Jan 17, 2010) and had a LOT of fun with it. I lost a lot of fish because my prongs are still brand new and rust-free, but I was really impressed by the way it worked.  So fast, accurate and light!  I mainly was targeting menpachi for dinner, but also had a request for an enenue, -and thanks to the fabulous pink three pong, I stoned one.  Should've had a blue uhu to go with it, but it got off :( "

  1. July 27, 2010-- "First thing I noticed about the 3prong was the print.  It looked just like a Tako!, second was how light it is. So I finally got to take my 3prong out for the first time and it was the shit! This thing is really fast, and accurate.  Ever since I got it all I been doing is 3pronging.  I been having a lot of fun spearing menpachi's, pananu's, and other fry fish."

  1. November 1, 2010-- "This is by far the best 3prong I have ever used.  I am blown away by how fast and accurate it is. What I really like about the 3 prong is the epoxy coating with the sand grip.  It also has plenty of punch, which is good for bigger goats and small to medium sized uhus.  You have made a perfect hand tool for harvesting fish!!!  Hopefully you don’t sell 1000 of these, because if you do, there will  be no more fish!!!;)"

  1. May 21, 2011-- "Chris and I swam out at a place where the waves were closing out the little channel we get out of.  We were getting pounded and it was a great indicator that it was going to be a tough day.   His float got stuck in the reef and we were both getting drilled.  It took us forever to get past that.  Once we were outside of the breakers we started swimming again the current to get to our spot but the current was ripping!  It was seriously cranking so hard that I'd be looking at the same rock for minutes before being able to swim passed it.  It was tiring and hard work but we swam like that for over an hour until we finally got where we needed to be.   We started spearing invasive species, mainly targeting the toau.  On one drop, while stalking a toau, a 6lb nenue came out of the hole.  I let my three prong soar and hit him right in the head on the fly. He got away but I followed him, knowing that he'd be really injured.  I watched him quiver and swim and kept waiting for the best opportunity to make another drop and try and hit him again.  His swimming got more loopy and soon he started to head for this hole to hide in.  I got excited knowing that my chances of catching him had just increased but then saw two puhi making their way to that hole instantly.  They are fast!  So I took my drop, beat them to my fish and poked him one more time, this time securing him for good.  Right after that my partner Chris, who had a full stringer already, ended up spearing the hugest enenue ever!  Over 10lbs!!!  Not only did this secure us first place for the tournament but it was also the a new state record for three prong catches!"

  1. July, 2011--

    Dear Uncle Sean,

I really appreciate you making me a spear, it is awesome!!!  I was soooooo excited to get my own spear, and it’s my favorite color too.  My Dad and my brother took me diving this weekend and we went out to where the water was crystal clear.  I had the most amazing time, because I shot 5 popaa, and 6 manini and 1 hinalea.  I can’t wait to go diving again.  Mahalo nui loa for such a great spear and all the support.

    All my Aloha,

    Mikiala"

I decided to make this Pole Spear for my good friend's daughter Mikiala since she loves to free dive and was using an adult length spear which was difficult for her to use/manage since it was to long and the power band was a bit strong for her. Dad rigged her spear with a softer power band and pictured above is her 1st catch using it which is pretty impressive considering this was really her 2nd or 3rd time actually going out to spear fish and she is only 9 years old. Mikiala's spear is short by my standards but then it dawned on me that I can also make keike size 3-Prong Hawaii Pole Spears which young divers can manage a little better. 1. Nov, 2012-- " This 3prong is light and packs a punch.  A great all around tool for pan fry fish and other small game.  The competition head is a must have!!!  Even if you end up losing a fish a lot of times you find um belly up a few minutes later.  The custom paint job is just icing on the cake...."

Bronson is using our Ultimate Competition 3-Prong Head on his spear. This head has three (3) 1/16" stub barbs installed, one on each prong and staggered. The prong diameter for this head is .162. Hanalei Adric and Lane Tsujiguchi also use this head on their 3-prong spears with thicker .177 prongs.
